Vogon’s Windows NT based SCSIPAK 2000 data conversion and duplication utility software extends support for optical and tape media. SCSIPAK operates under Windows NT 4 or Windows 2000 operating systems. Designed for tape based data interchange applications between NT and other common systems such as UNIX or IBM and DEC Mid-Range or IBM and ICL Mainframes.
SCSIPAK 2000 is a set of high performance software utilities which lets you read tapes from a wide variety of systems, duplicate vital backups and copy data to multiple tapes or optical disks for distribution. The utilities are very much designed for use by the serious volume user who wishes to automate processes – possibly in a bureau or other high volume professional environment.
Vogon also configures systems and provides drives as well as software for virtually any conversion or duplication requirement. SCSIPAK based bespoke systems are used internationally by corporates and Government Agencies for data conversion, duplication, archiving and forensic purposes.
Vogon offers facilities to undertake custom development work. Specific processing requirements can be catered for, in some instances by adding functions to future releases.
The optional SCSIPAK Developers Kit provides the DLL support for tape management and the programmer interface to allow bespoke applications to be developed and maintained by the client’s own programmers. The service agreement element of the Developers Kit allows for development support direct from Vogon’s own programming staff.

Utilities to read and write UNIX tar compatible tapes under NT and to download from UNIX cpio archives. Dynamic record conversion allows for line feed delimited records to be modified to ones terminated by carriage return and line feed pairs. Additional modules are available for UNIX dump and HP-UX FBACKUP archives. |

Utilities to read data from IBM and VMS labelled COPY format. EBCDIC encoded data, even when it contains complex COBOL packed data formats, can be downloaded and translated so that it can be loaded by PC application software. Variable or fixed format records can be converted to be NT delimited. Additional modules are available that will read data from VMS Backup and ICL 2900/3900 COPY format data. |

Utilities to download from a tape or optical disk and then write back up to seven drives at once. The image file from the tape or optical is stored under NT along with an index file which contains details of tape file and set marks, directory partitions, or unused optical sectors. This allows for the duplication of even complex format tapes and optical disks. |
