number of the major Storage and IT vendors such as Exabyte,
HP/Compaq, Imation, Network Associates, Seagate, Silicon
Graphics Inc, Sony, Sun Microsystems and Western Digital.
These
agreements ensure that the customer receives a premium service
on their product and in many cases a vendor discount. The
other major benefit is that, if the customer finds themself
in the unfortunate position of requiring a data recovery,
the above agreements will ensure that Vogon has access to
the manufacturers internal technical information.

own core skills.
Many
of the disk manufacturers will honour the warranty, even
if Vogon have had to break the seal to gain access to the
HDA (Head Disk Assembly) to recover data. So in this case
the customer has the best chance of recovering their data
and getting the drive replaced under warranty by the manufacturer.
